TIME 4 CHANGE ART ACTIVISM GALLERY & SHOWCASE 2023

In addition to works of art on display and available for bidding during the silent auction, there will be live performances
fr​om schools and youth groups who have created activism pieces in the form of spoken word, song, dance, and much more.
Since 1986, YWS has been offering shelter and support for youth facing homelessness in the GTA.
Their goal for this event is to raise $100,000 in support of their ongoing efforts to "Change the Narrative" and advocate action to end youth homelessness.
I'd like to thank @phdivaart for introducing me to this great organization and for encouraging me to take part.
I will be donating my piece, "Resilience", to this great cause:
Update: My piece, "Resilience" was sold at the auction and 100% of proceeds have been donated to YWS.

Happy to be supporting this wonderful cause. Come out on November 6th for a unique art experience, featuring a silent auction to raise funds to help allow more kids to experience the wonders of camp!
UPDATE: Two of the 4 pieces I donated to this auction were sold and the other 2 are being reserved for one of their future fundraising events.

The summer has flown by and here we are less than 1 week away from the NTGA Fall 2022 Fine Art Tour & Sale!
I'm so excited to be back with the amazing Sheila Merer in her beautiful enchanted garden. We both have a bunch of new work to share with you including landscapes and gorgeous florals that you won't want to miss!

In total, there will be 34 incredibly talented artists participating at 22 locations, in this amazing outdoor art tour. We are all within walking/biking distance of each other in our beautiful, leafy, North Toronto neighbourhood. Plan to make a day of it! Get out for some exercise, see some beautiful art and enjoy the sunshine (fingers and toes currently crossed for good weather both days!)

The countdown is on! Looking forward to showing you my new floral and landscape works and thrilled to be invited to share space with the awesome Valerie Crowder at her lovely home. She has been busy plein air painting up a storm in Arizona over the winter and has some great new paintings of the Sonoran Desert and beautiful geometric abstracts that you will not want to miss! Thrilled to have one of my pieces on display in the Leslie Grove Gallery's Plus One Members Show. And super honoured to be Artists' Network member artist, Sheila Merer's Plus One! Sheila and I have been artist friends ever since we met in an oil painting class many years ago. We were also show-mates in the 2021 NTGA Art Tour last Fall.
If you have a chance to stop by in person, there are many wonderful pieces to see by local artists and their Plus Ones.
